Hairy Maclary's Big adventure

“Out of the gate and off for a walk went Hairy Maclary from Donaldson’s Dairy ” . Down the street Maclary walked, but to see herself in a middle of a war. Three kids having fun, throwing water balloons at their mum. Maclary stopped at the park, and all of a sudden it all went dark. Maclary wondered what was going on, so she sang her most wonderful song. The park had returned, and all was well, until a which had cased a spell. The hole street had turned yellow, and all the trees were turned into jello. She kept on walking, but something wasn't right, then she bumped into this man who looked very up tight. The man walked pass dropping something behind, Maclary wondered what did she find. She soon found out that it was his bag. She went to return it, but saw a totally different man. She was falling from the sky, for what looked like steam, she woke up and knew that it was all a dream.

  1. Hey again Pupuke, what a wonderful story you have written. It took so many twists and turns I had no idea it was all a dream. That was a real surprise!
I like how there was a witch who turned the whole street yellow! You've used heaps of rhyming words too, which is really impressive. When I read books to my class I always try to choose the ones that rhyme. It makes reading a bit more fun and the words seem to dance along the page.

Have you read many of the Hairy Maclary books?
    Do you have a favourite?

    Thanks, Billy
