A New Year A New Start

Hi! My name is Pupuke and I am a student at Ruapotaka School.  I am in Room 12 and My teacher’s names are Mrs Golder and Mr Reid , and I'm a year 7.

My favorite subjects at school are spelling, maths, reading and art.

I have one brother and three sisters. I love to sing, dance, swim, run and play sports at school. I would love to travel all round the world some day, and maybe be able to meat the queen.

Room Ten Growing Broad Beans

We were learning about how plants grow and seeds sprout.  We grew cress and sprouted broad beans in class.  We watched how water moves through plants by putting celery in coloured water.

Our snagit about the film festival

This is a screencast I made with Kuini and Meaalofa to say what we liked about our favourite movie at the Film Festival. It was very tricky making the Snagit because we had to write a script and practise our words. It was fun working with Room 9.

What we liked at the movies

When we came back from the movies we got our chromebooks out and we looked at some movies. We mostly looked at Room 9’s movie because it was so cool. Robati, Solomone and I were dancing. If you look at Robati, it looks like he is having a good time.

Things To Share On Your Blog

Before we launched our own blogs, we checked out some student blogs in Manaiakalani to see what kinds of information people share.  We noticed that they used photographs and videos as well as writing to share their learning.  We created an infographic to share what we discovered.

Taking care of your Chromebook

In Term 2 Mrs Grant taught us about Kawa of Care.  This means that it is my job to look after my Chromebook carefully when I am working and when I carry it around the classroom.
